The sun is displayed at the center of the map, and all ships, planets, and wormholes in the system are displayed at their relative distance from the sun. As this captain has set his map display size to seven sectors, each sector on the strategic map represents approximately 23 sectors of actual space. The graphics on the strategic map do not move, as many users' computers have difficulty with a large number of animated images.
